About the Role
We are seeking a motivated and results-driven Outside Sales Representative to grow our market presence within the construction industry in the Durham Region, GTA, and Kawartha Lakes Territory. The successful candidate will develop relationships with contractors, builders, developers, architects, and other industry professionals to promote and sell construction components and building products.
Compensation
Base salary of $75,000-90,000 (dependent on experience) plus commissions and benefits
Key Responsibilities
- Develop new business opportunities and maintain existing customer relationships.
- Visit construction sites, contractor offices, and project stakeholders throughout the assigned territory.
- Present product solutions and provide technical information on construction components.
- Prepare quotations, bids, and sales proposals.
- Track project opportunities from specification through completion.
- Meet or exceed sales targets and territory growth objectives.
- Attend industry events, trade shows, and networking functions.
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure customer satisfaction and timely delivery.
Qualifications
- 2+ years of outside sales experience, preferably in construction materials, building products, or related industries.
- Strong understanding of construction practices and project timelines.
- Proven ability to develop and maintain customer relationships.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Self-motivated with strong organizational and time-management abilities.
- Valid driver's license and willingness to travel throughout the sales territory.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience selling construction components
- Existing network of contractors, builders, architects, or developers.
- CRM experience
