The Opportunity:
IDENTOS is hiring a QA Engineer to join our Product team developing Health & Government Solutions. In this role, you will drive our test automation efforts, develop robust automation frameworks, and collaborate closely with the engineering team to seamlessly integrate QA automation into our SDLC.
This is a high-impact role where your work directly improves how Canadians access healthcare and government services — securely and with confidence.
What you'll do:
- Drive automation: Drive our test automation efforts by continuously automating tests on stable parts of the application, while also performing manual exploratory testing to ensure comprehensive quality and coverage.
- Framework development: Develop new and maintain existing automation frameworks for functional, regression and performance testing.
- SDLC Integration: Collaborate closely with the QA and engineering teams to integrate QA automation into our SDLC, enhancing the delivery rate and quality of releases.
- AI-Assisted Test Design: Leverage AI tools to brainstorm and generate comprehensive test cases and testing scenarios to optimize coverage.
- AI-Driven Test Development: Utilize AI coding assistants to accelerate the development of robust automated test scripts and suites.
- Cross-functional collaboration: Work cross-functionally with product and operations teams to define, establish, and refine QA processes, ensuring they are lean and scalable as the company grows.
- Process improvement: Identify opportunities for improving the overall QA process and automation coverage.
- Documentation: Maintain comprehensive documentation of the automation framework and test scripts..
What you bring:
Must-Have
- Proven experience in QA, with a strong background in both test automation and manual testing.
- Ability to write and maintain automation scripts, with specific experience utilizing the Robot automation framework and Python scripting.
- Experience utilizing AI coding assistants (such as Cursor, GitHub Copilot) and LLMs (like Claude, ChatGPT) to optimize test creation and enhance QA workflows.
- Experience with different automation tools, automating both front end (browser) and backend (API) applications, as well as manual testing experience with APIs using Postman.
- Familiarity with DevOps practices and tools for continuous integration and deployment.
- Strong communication skills, both for written documentation and team collaboration.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work cross-functionally in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
- Strong attention to detail.
Nice to Have
- Experience creating load/performance tests.
- Experience testing accessibility to meet (WCAG AA standards).
- Exposure with security testing.
- Familiarity with identity standards: OAuth 2.0, OIDC, SAML, FIDO2, UMA 2.0
- Experience with healthcare interoperability (FHIR, HL7) or government digital services
- Prior experience at a SaaS or public-sector product company
