We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Inventory Coordinator to join our clients team in the Orangeville area.
The Inventory Coordinator is responsible for managing and executing the Inventory Program, cycle counts, PI, Root Cause Analysis, Corrective Actions, and Velocity Slotting. They will coach staff, prepare and continuously review SOP’s and KPI’s. The Inventory Coordinator will review and strategize aged inventory forecasts, financial impacts and summarize for the Controller.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and provide leadership with regular reports and KPI’s on labour productivity and inventory management effectiveness
- Prepare and continuously review Standard Operating Procedures
- Ensure all operations are carried out as per SOP’s and escalate noncompliance as needed
- Improve operational management systems, standard operating procedures and best practices through cycle count observations
- Prepare, assign and review all daily cycle counts
- Review all Part return request forms for accuracy on Work orders and for any required inventory adjustments which will then need to be entered
- Collaborate with Purchaser on any damaged inventory to follow up for credit or IA to write off
- Item record information review to ensure all fields are accurate, correct account allocations, item descriptions and tax codes
- Review all inventory reports through NetSuite and RF Smart
- Formulate strategic and tactical goals related to procuring, receiving, storing, shipping, and optimizing inventory
- Perform quality controls and monitor productivity through cycle count program
- Collaborate on ways to increase quality of internal and external customer service
- Seek shared vision across all company functions for strategic and tactical initiatives as well as corrective actions related to inventory management, finance, operations, customer service, procurement, etc.
- Other duty as assigned
Requirements
- Minimum of 3 years experience in a similar Inventory Coordinator role
- Experience working within a Manufacturing or Industrial environment
- ERP experience (NetSuite is preferred)
- Ability to support Purchasing team
- BOM understanding
- Well versed with cycle counting
- Strong understanding on Shipping & Receiving
- Intermediate Excel skills
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail in inventory control and pricing accuracy
- Strong communication skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
Pay: $70k-95k/annum
Pay: $70,000.00-$95,000.00 per year
Ability to commute/relocate:
- Orangeville, ON: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)
