Overview
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Fence Installer to join our team at Alpine Fencing. The ideal candidate will be responsible for installing various types of fences, ensuring safety, quality, and precision in every project. This role offers an opportunity to work on diverse projects, utilizing a range of construction skills and tools. Candidates should have a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and the ability to interpret schematics and blueprints Is a bonus. Prior experience in construction-related fields, carpentry or farming are highly valued. Looking to train the right individual.
Responsibilities
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and construction plans to determine fencing layout and specifications
- Measure and mark installation of sites accurately according to project requirements
- Use hand tools, power tools, and heavy equipment safely and efficiently for fence installation
- Prepare the ground by digging post holes, setting concrete forms, and performing concrete finishing as needed
- Install posts, panels, gates, and other fencing components with precision
- Ensure all fences are level, secure, and meet safety standards
- Operate heavy equipment such as excavators or loaders when necessary for site preparation
- Perform maintenance tasks such as caulking or sealing to ensure durability of installations
- Collaborate with team members to complete projects on time and within scope
- Maintain a clean work environment and adhere to safety protocols at all times
Requirements
- Proven experience in construction or fencing installation preferred; knowledge of carpentry work is a plus
- Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and construction drawings accurately
- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, concrete forming, caulking, welding, and other relevant equipment
- Familiarity with heavy equipment operation is desirable but not mandatory
- Strong understanding of safety procedures related to construction sites and equipment use
- Excellent physical stamina for lifting heavy materials and working outdoors in various weather conditions
- Valid license or equivalent certification preferred
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team with minimal supervision
