GreenWave Clean Solutions Inc. is currently looking for a reliable and experienced cleaner to service multiple commercial locations in the Yarmouth, Nova Scotia area.
This is a part-time position involving three current cleaning sites: one courier office and two Bell locations. Two of the locations require cleaning three times per week, with a minimum of two hours per visit at each location. The third location requires cleaning once per week.
This position is also a possible stepping stone toward full-time employment. GreenWave Clean Solutions Inc. is expecting a new client to begin around the November time frame. That future client requires a background check, which can take approximately two months to complete due to the secure nature of the site.
The successful candidate may begin with the current part-time locations. If the candidate performs well, is reliable, and successfully completes the required background check, there may be an opportunity to move into a full-time position once the new client begins.
Current Locations
- One courier office
- Two Bell locations
- All locations are within the Yarmouth area
Current Schedule
- Two locations: 3 times per week, minimum 2 hours per visit
- One location: 1 time per week
- Additional locations may become available as the company grows
- Possible travel outside the Yarmouth area may be offered when available
Pay
- Starting wage: $17.00 per hour
- Paid per visit, per location, based on the approved schedule and assigned hours
- Additional work may become available based on performance, client needs, and future contracts
Time Tracking Requirement
All work hours are tracked through a company time-tracking app. The app is geofenced and geolocated, meaning employees must clock in and clock out while physically present at the assigned work location. This is required for accurate payroll, attendance verification, and site compliance.
Responsibilities
- Clean and maintain assigned commercial locations to a professional standard
- Sweep, mop, vacuum, and dust assigned areas
- Clean washrooms, staff areas, offices, counters, floors, and common spaces
- Empty garbage and replace liners as required
- Follow site-specific cleaning instructions
- Travel between assigned locations as scheduled
- Clock in and clock out using the company’s geofenced time-tracking app
- Report any issues, damages, or supply needs to management
- Ensure each location is left clean, secure, and properly completed before leaving
Requirements
- Previous cleaning experience is preferred
- Must have a reliable vehicle and valid driver’s licence
- Must be able to travel between sites within the Yarmouth area
- Must be reliable, punctual, and detail-oriented
- Must be able to work independently
- Must be able to use a smartphone-based time-tracking app
- Must be able to pass a background check for future secure-site work
- Experience cleaning offices, Bell sites, courier offices, banks, or secure facilities is an asset
- Must be legally eligible to work in Canada
Future Full-Time Opportunity
This position begins as part-time work across three current locations in the Yarmouth area. However, GreenWave Clean Solutions Inc. is expecting a new client to begin around November. The new location requires a background check that may take approximately two months to complete.
Candidates who are successful in the current role and who pass the required background check may be considered for a future full-time position when the new client begins.
