Concrete Worker/Labourer - Select Sprinklers/Select Contractors
We are looking to fill the position of Concrete Labourer/Finishing helper
About the Company;
Select Sprinklers / Contractors are a multi-faceted organization based out of Port Coquitlam. Select Contractors specializes in concrete, asphalt, demo, paving stones, and landscaping repairs.
Job Description;
As a concrete worker you would be on a team of 1-3 other employees, completing jobs such as paver repairs and replacement, concrete demo, prep, and installation, asphalt, minor landscaping and other flatwork and hardscape work.
We work primarily with local utility companies on sites that they have completed work. We go in and repair all affected areas to the 100% original condition prior to damage.
Rough breakdown of job is as follows:
70% Concrete Repairs
20% Asphalt
5% Paving Stones
5% Landscaping
****Plenty of overtime opportunities will be available.
Through the winter months Select still does concrete work but also provides snow removal services to local buildings, which can help supplement hours during poor weather. This provides the opportunity for the candidate to partake in salting, and snow removal shifts when available.
Job Requirements;
The right candidate does not need experience in this field but will want to learn new skills. You must have a strong command of English - understanding and speaking. You must have a valid BC driver's license and be able to work in Canada without any restrictions on hours worked.
To be successful in this role you must bring a strong work ethic, be extremely dependable and reliable, be on time, be physically fit, as well as have a mode of transportation to get to and from job-sites / company office. You need to be honest, willing to listen and take feedback, follow instructions and take direction from the Concrete Foreman and other employees. A good attitude, attention to detail, and being pro-active within this role will see advancement in position and pay within a growing company.

To be prepared for this position you will require - Steel Toe Boots, Rain Gear, and Work Pants / Shorts
Starting wage: $25-35 per hour + O.T. to start. Wage will be based on experience.
