Job Summary
We are seeking a friendly and attentive Food and Beverage Server to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will provide exceptional guest service, ensure food safety and sanitation standards, and create a welcoming atmosphere for all patrons. This role involves taking orders, serving food and beverages, handling transactions, and upselling menu items to enhance guest experience. Prior experience in food service or hospitality is preferred, along with strong communication and time management skills. Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly and present menus with enthusiasm
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems such as Micros POS
- Serve food and drinks efficiently while maintaining high standards of presentation and cleanliness
- Handle cash and process payments accurately through cashiering systems
- Ensure proper food handling, sanitation, and safety procedures are followed at all times
- Assist with food preparation tasks as needed to support kitchen staff
- Upsell menu items to maximize sales opportunities and enhance guest satisfaction
- Maintain cleanliness of service areas, tables, and dining spaces in accordance with sanitation standards
- Manage guest requests promptly to ensure a positive dining experience
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth restaurant operations
Requirements
- Previous experience in food service or restaurant environment preferred but not required
- Knowledge of POS systems such as Micros POS is a plus
- Strong customer service skills with a friendly, professional demeanor
- Ability to handle cash transactions accurately and efficiently
- Good time management skills to serve multiple tables effectively during busy periods
- Understanding of food safety, sanitation, and proper handling procedures
- Basic math skills for billing and cash handling purposes
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills and a team-oriented attitude
- Flexibility to work various shifts including weekends and holidays as needed
