We are looking for a reliable, motivated Registered Pharmacy Technician who is ready to contribute to our team and help us continue delivering excellent service to our patients.
Key Responsibilities
- Process prescriptions accurately and efficiently using Kroll Pharmacy Management Software.
- Perform product preparation, technical checks, and dispensing activities within the technician scope of practice.
- Maintain patient profiles, documentation, and regulatory compliance requirements.
- Manage inventory, purchasing, receiving, narcotic counts, and medication storage.
- Maintain detailed compounding records, batch worksheets, and quality assurance documentation.
- Accurately weigh, measure, mix, package, and label compounded preparations using specialized compounding equipment.
- Process third-party billing, adjudication, and insurance claims.
- Coordinate patient communications, appointment scheduling, and service follow-up.
- Collaborate with pharmacists to support vaccination programs, including administering authorized vaccines once injection-trained, as well as medication management and clinical services.
- Support the implementation of pharmacy technologies and automation initiatives.
Required Qualifications
- Registered Pharmacy Technician in good standing with the Ontario College of Pharmacists (OCP).
- Minimum 3 years of experience in a regulated pharmacy environment, with demonstrated knowledge of pharmacy operations, prescription processing, and patient service. Senior and highly experienced candidates are encouraged to apply.
- Strong proficiency with Kroll Pharmacy Management Software.
- Experience with prescription processing, dispensing, and workflow management.
- Experience with third-party billing and insurance adjudication.
- Experience with inventory management and purchasing.
- Strong understanding of OCP standards, PHIPA requirements, and applicable pharmacy regulations.
- Professional proficiency in English.
- Familiar with NAPRA, OCP and USP Compounding requirement for non-sterile level A, B and C
- Completion of an OCP-approved injection training course (registered with the College), or willingness to obtain it.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with PharmaClik software.
- Ability to communicate effectively in Mandarin or any additional languages are an asset.
- Experience serving multicultural and multilingual patient populations.
- Experience supporting vaccination programs and clinical pharmacy services.
- Experience in specialty pharmacy, fertility pharmacy, or women’s health services.
- Management experience is an asset.
