We are currently hiring a Food Production Operator for our morning shift. Overtime is paid for working Saturday's.
Summary
Operator must be able to read and write and must know how to control blenders and Hobarts. Sanitation of blenders is a priority.
Essential Functions
· Fill blenders with raw materials.
· Ensure blenders are always clean and must know all the different allergens we have in the plant
· Discharge blenders into its required package as required by the worksheet.
· Re-check the labels been placed on the bags against the worksheet.
· Confirm signature on the worksheet to confirm all requirements are completed
· Ensure all finished products are neatly stacked on a required skid
· Follow all Health and Safety Rules
· Fills in for lead operator when on vacation
Non-Essential Functions
Washing drums and skids and assist in batching room sanitation
Qualifications
· High school, or equivalent, education
· Experience and knowledge of Food Manufacturing preferred
· Able to communicate well, both verbal and written. Basic Mathematics.
· Able to lift 50 lbs. continuously
Work Environment
· Exposure to loud environment, airborne particles with strong odours associated with spicy food ingredients. Cold, hot, wet, and humid conditions.
· Walking and standing on concrete for 8 to 12 hours per day. Climbing steps, ladders and working on elevated surfaces.
· Regularly lifting up to 50 lbs.
· Exposure to fast paced production lines working 8 to 12-hour shifts.
