Position Overview
The Construction Project Manager is responsible for the planning, coordination, and execution of residential construction projects across Leyad’s portfolio, with a focus on multi-residential developments and building renovations. This role ensures projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget, and in alignment with organizational objectives.
The Project Manager will oversee multiple active construction sites concurrently, managing all phases of construction from pre-construction through to project close-out. This includes coordination of site teams, contractors, consultants, and internal stakeholders to ensure consistent execution across all projects.
This role requires regular travel between provinces, including Alberta, Saskatchewan, and Manitoba, to oversee active residential construction projects, ensure site operations remain on schedule, and manage budgets across multiple locations.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead residential construction projects from inception to completion, ensuring compliance with design specifications, building codes, regulatory requirements, and contractual obligations.
- Support estimating and budgeting processes, including review of contractor bids, scope evaluation, and cost forecasting for residential developments and renovations.
- Develop and manage detailed project schedules, coordinating with internal teams, consultants, and subcontractors to meet key construction milestones.
- Monitor project budgets, oversee cost control measures, manage change orders, and ensure financial targets are met across multiple residential sites.
- Implement and enforce quality control procedures to ensure high standards across all residential construction deliverables.
- Identify and mitigate project risks, providing timely updates and recommendations to senior leadership.
- Facilitate procurement, contract administration, and coordination with vendors, subcontractors, consultants, and clients/tenants.
- Ensure site safety and compliance with occupational health and safety regulations, promoting a strong safety culture across all residential projects.
Qualifications
- Degree or diploma in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field, or equivalent combination of technical training and experience.
- 3–5 years of experience managing residential construction projects, preferably within multi-residential or mixed-use real estate.

- Ability to manage multiple residential construction projects in complex, fast-paced environments.
- Willingness and ability to travel frequently between provinces.
Travel Requirements
This role requires regular travel to construction sites across Alberta, Saskatchewan, and Manitoba, as well as other locations across Canada as needed to support active residential projects.
