Overview
We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Respite Workers to provide supportive care and companionship to individuals with disabilities, including children and adults. This role offers an opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of those needing temporary relief for their primary caregivers. Duties
- Provide one-on-one support and supervision to individuals with disabilities during scheduled respite periods
- Assist clients with daily activities such as personal care, mobility, and recreational activities
- Implement individualized care plans tailored to each client’s needs and preferences
- Engage clients in educational or recreational activities to promote development and enjoyment
- Ensure a safe environment by monitoring client behavior and addressing any safety concerns promptly
- Communicate effectively with families and caregivers regarding client progress and any issues that arise
- Maintain documentation of services provided in accordance with agency policies
Skills
- Prior experience working with individuals with disabilities or children is preferred
- Strong teaching abilities to facilitate learning and skill development
- Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with clients, families, and team members
- Patience, empathy, and a caring attitude towards diverse populations
- Ability to adapt quickly to different situations and individual needs
- Reliable time management skills to adhere to scheduled shifts and responsibilities

Pay: $17.85-$28.63 per hour
