Your impact
We are looking for an Electrical Inspector to add to our construction management team in Toronto, ON in the municipal water and wastewater sector. Join our team and work alongside our technical experts to assist in delivering high-quality projects to our clients.

This role is fully on-site at our Pickering site location, therefore, only candidates currently based in Pickering or those willing to relocate will be considered for this opportunity.
Here's what you'll need
Minimum 5 years’ experience in site inspection with a focus on electrical/mechanical inspection. Experience in water/wastewater, process manufacturing, instrumentation and control, and/or oil/gas would be an asset.
Must hold a valid Ontario 309A Electrician License (Construction & Maintenance) with demonstrated knowledge of relevant electrical codes and standards.
Knowledge of construction practices and related regulatory and/or industry requirements and practices (e.g. Ontario Electrical Safety Code, Canadian Electrical Code, Ontario Building Code)
Foresight and balanced judgement in anticipating and solving problems during construction.
Ability to assert high quality implementation of our design in the field.
Demonstrates strengths in respectful communication, and a love for working with people and getting things done
Resourceful, independent and willing to go the extra mile to obtain new knowledge
Proficient in Windows-based software (incl. word, excel, outlook)
Valid driver’s license.
Ideally, You’ll Also Have:
Electrical Engineering Technology or Technician diploma or equivalent demonstrated experience.
Demonstrated experience in medium to large scale municipal construction projects
Experience inspecting the installation and commissioning of electrical equipment (incl. switchgear, MCC’s, VFD’s, cabling). Familiarity with installation of process controls system equipment including PLC panels, and networking equipment an asset.
Demonstrated working knowledge of the Ontario Electrical Safety Code, Electrical Safety Authority Safety Bulletins.
Experience inspecting electrical systems with voltage levels up to and including 5 kilovolts.
Experience utilizing software tools to complete site inspection reports, photographs, and to maintain up to date contract documentation (e.g. Autodesk Build, Procor, Bluebeam Revu)
Ability to work at Heights
Ability to maintain a record of contract change orders and field changes on a set of contract documents.
Ability to maintain a record of construction deficiencies
Ability to work with the project team to resolve construction issues.
Forward thinking, eager to learn best practices, and contribute with innovative ideas
Ability to work effectively on a variety of teams, including multi-disciplinary teams
Passion for construction of infrastructure and building projects

115,000.00
The base salary range for this position is $75,000.00 to $115,000.00. This range reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position across Ontario, Canada locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
