Job Summary
Pietra Surfaces is looking for an experienced, motivated Outside Sales Representative to join our growing team. This is a road-based, business-to-business sales role focused on developing new relationships and growing existing accounts within the stone, construction, and design industries.
We're looking for a driven sales professional with a proven history of exceeding sales targets and building long-term client relationships. This is not a retail sales position—we're seeking someone who thrives in outside sales, enjoys meeting clients face-to-face, and is confident closing business.
Duties
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities through prospecting, networking, and market research
- Develop and maintain relationships with fabricators, contractors, designers, builders, and other industry professionals.
- Prospect and generate new business through cold calling, networking, referrals, and in-person visits.
- Manage an assigned sales territory and regularly visit existing and prospective customers.
- Identify customer needs and provide tailored product solutions.
- Prepare quotes and follow up on opportunities to close sales.
- Meet or exceed monthly and annual sales targets.
- Conduct presentations and product demonstrations tailored to client needs
- Negotiate contracts and close sales deals effectively
- Develop and implement strategic sales plans aligned with company goals
- Utilize CRM tools to track leads, opportunities, and customer interactions
- Analyze market trends and customer feedback to identify new sales opportunities
- Provide exceptional customer service by addressing client inquiries and resolving issues promptly
- Maintain thorough knowledge of product offerings, industry trends, and competitors
Skills
- 3+ years of proven outside B2B sales experience (required).
- Proven experience in outside sales, B2B sales, or technology sales with a focus on business development and account management
- Demonstrated track record of consistently meeting or exceeding sales goals.
- Self-motivated with excellent time management and organizational skills.
- Strong negotiation and closing skills with the ability to influence decision-makers
- Experience developing new business and managing long-term client relationships.
- Excellent negotiation, presentation, and closing skills.
- Proficiency with CRM platforms for managing sales pipelines
- Ability to work independently while contributing to a collaborative team.
- Comfortable spending the majority of the workday on the road visiting clients.
- Analytical skills to assess market data, customer needs, and sales performance metrics
- Ability to develop strategic plans and execute them effectively in a competitive environment
- Customer service orientation with a focus on building long-term relationships
- Knowledge of marketing principles and techniques for driving sales growth
- Valid driver's license and reliable vehicle.
