We are currently seeking a skilled and dependable MIG Welder to join our manufacturing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing high-quality MIG welding on a variety of metal components while ensuring all work meets company quality and safety standards.
Responsibilities:
- Perform MIG welding on steel and other metal materials according to drawings and specifications.
- Read and interpret blueprints, welding symbols, and work orders.
- Prepare, fit, align, and assemble metal parts prior to welding.
- Inspect completed welds for quality, strength, and dimensional accuracy.
- Operate welding equipment, grinders, saws, and other fabrication tools safely.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area while following all health and safety procedures.
- Perform minor equipment maintenance and report any mechanical issues.
- Work collaboratively with production and quality teams to meet production deadlines.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience as a MIG Welder in a manufacturing or fabrication environment.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
- Strong knowledge of welding techniques, fabrication processes, and safety practices.
- Experience using measuring tools such as tape measures, calipers, and squares.
- Good attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in a physically demanding environment.
- CWB certification is considered an asset but is not required.
