Part-Time Registered Dental Hygienist – Nova Scotia

Practice Type: Family / General Dentistry
Position Type: Part-Time - 2 days per week with expansion to 4 days per week starting late July to cover a maternity leave.

Position Overview
We are seeking a motivated and compassionate Registered Dental Hygienist to join our team on a part-time basis with option to increase days to four. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, confident in clinical skills, and enjoys building lasting relationships with patients.
Responsibilities
- Perform dental cleanings, scaling, and root planing
- Conduct oral health assessments and periodontal charting
- Take and interpret dental radiographs
- Educate patients on oral hygiene and preventative care
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records
- Follow infection control and sterilization protocols
- Collaborate with the dental team to ensure excellent patient care
Qualifications
- Diploma or Degree in Dental Hygiene
- Licensed with the College of Dental Hygienists of Nova Scotia
- Current CPR certification
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
