Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Roofing professional to join our construction team. This role involves installing, repairing, and maintaining roofing systems on residential and commercial properties. The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and experience working with various roofing materials. Responsibilities
- Install new roofing systems using appropriate materials and techniques
- Repair and replace damaged or aging roofs efficiently and safely
- Use hand tools such as hammers, saws, and caulking guns to complete tasks
- Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings for project specifications
- Perform heavy lifting of roofing materials and equipment safely
- Apply caulking and sealants to ensure waterproofing and energy efficiency
- Assist with carpentry tasks related to roofing structures when needed
- Maintain a clean and organized worksite to ensure safety standards are met
- Follow safety protocols at all times, including proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE)
Qualifications
- Prior construction or roofing experience preferred, but willing to train motivated candidates
- Proficiency with hand tools and basic carpentry skills
- Ability to read blueprints and technical diagrams accurately
- Experience with caulking, sealing, and handyman tasks is a plus
- Capable of heavy lifting and physically demanding work for extended periods
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety standards
- Reliable transportation and the ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions
