Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Warehouse Associate to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for supporting warehouse operations, including order fulfillment, shipping and receiving, and heavy equipment operation. This role requires a strong understanding of warehouse distribution processes, mechanical knowledge, and the ability to operate various types of heavy equipment such as forklifts, cranes, and reach trucks. The Warehouse Associate will play a vital role in ensuring efficient inventory management and timely delivery of products in a fast-paced environment.
Duties
- Operate heavy equipment including forklifts, reach trucks, cranes, and order pickers to load, unload, and transport goods safely within the warehouse.
- Assist with order picking, packing, and packaging to fulfill customer orders accurately and efficiently.
- Manage shipping and receiving processes by inspecting incoming and outgoing shipments and maintaining proper documentation using warehouse management systems such as AS400.
- Support inventory control through accurate stock counting, organization, and storage of materials.
- Conduct routine maintenance checks on heavy equipment to ensure safety and operational efficiency.
- Support warehouse distribution activities by coordinating with team members to optimize workflow.
- Assist in construction or maintenance projects within the warehouse as needed, utilizing mechanical knowledge and heavy lifting skills.
- Ensure compliance with safety protocols during all operations involving heavy equipment or construction tasks.
Qualifications
- Proven experience working in a warehouse environment with familiarity in warehouse management systems like AS400.
- Hands-on experience operating heavy equipment such as forklifts, reach trucks, cranes, and order pickers.
- Mechanical knowledge related to manufacturing or construction environments is highly desirable.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently for extended periods.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in order fulfillment, shipping & receiving, and inventory management.
- Knowledge of warehouse distribution processes including order picking, packaging, load & unload procedures.
- Prior experience with warehouse management systems (WMS) is preferred.
- Physical ability to stand for long periods and perform manual tasks involving heavy equipment operation.
- Basic understanding of manufacturing or construction environments is a plus. Pay: $20.00-$30.00 per hour
