Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Salon Manager to oversee daily operations at our upscale salon. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, excellent customer service abilities, and a comprehensive understanding of retail and salon management. This role involves managing staff, ensuring exceptional client experiences, and maintaining the overall efficiency and profitability of the salon. The Salon Manager will play a key role in fostering a positive work environment while driving sales and ensuring operational excellence.
Duties
- Lead and supervise salon staff, including hairstylists, estheticians, and support personnel, to ensure high-quality service delivery.
- Recruit, interview, and onboard new team members to build a skilled and motivated team.
- Manage daily operations, including scheduling appointments, overseeing retail sales, and ensuring cleanliness and safety standards are met.
- Handle payroll processing, cash handling, and bookkeeping to maintain accurate financial records.
- Develop and implement marketing strategies to attract new clients and retain existing ones.
- Oversee merchandising efforts, including product purchasing, pricing strategies, and inventory management using POS systems.
- Conduct regular training & development sessions to enhance team skills and ensure compliance with industry standards.
- Manage store budgets, monitor sales performance, and analyze financial reports to optimize profitability.
- Maintain excellent customer service standards by addressing client concerns promptly and professionally.
- Organize promotional events or campaigns to boost store visibility and sales growth.
Experience
- Proven retail management experience with a strong background in salon or spa environments preferred.
- Demonstrated leadership skills with supervising experience in a fast-paced setting.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
- Excellent communication skills in English; bilingual or multilingual abilities are a plus for serving diverse clientele.
- Experience with payroll processing, bookkeeping, and POS systems is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of merchandising, marketing strategies, pricing, and sales management techniques.
- Ability to train staff effectively while fostering a team-oriented atmosphere.
- Proficiency in time management, customer service excellence, and administrative tasks such as budgeting and inventory control.
