Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Food Service Supervisor to oversee daily operations in a fast-paced food service environment. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, excellent customer service abilities, and a solid background in food preparation and restaurant management. This role involves supervising staff, ensuring food safety standards, and maintaining high-quality service to deliver an exceptional dining experience. Previous experience in hospitality, restaurant management, or the food industry is highly valued, along with familiarity with POS systems such as Micros POS.
Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate daily food service operations, ensuring efficient workflow and adherence to safety standards
- Oversee food preparation and cooking processes to maintain quality and consistency
- Manage team members through interviewing, training, scheduling, and performance evaluations
- Handle cash transactions accurately using POS systems like Micros POS and ensure proper cash handling procedures
- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and proper food handling practices
- Monitor customer service standards to ensure guest satisfaction and address any concerns promptly
- Assist in inventory management, ordering supplies, and maintaining cleanliness of the kitchen and dining areas
- Lead by example in hospitality, serving guests professionally and courteously
- Collaborate with management on menu planning, special events, and operational improvements
- Maintain a positive team environment that promotes teamwork, leadership, and professional growth
Qualifications
- Proven supervising experience in food service or restaurant management
- Strong knowledge of food preparation, cooking techniques, and food safety regulations
- Experience with POS systems such as Micros POS or similar platforms
- Excellent customer service skills with a focus on hospitality excellence
- Leadership ability to manage teams effectively and motivate staff members
- Background in food handling, restaurant experience, or kitchen operations preferred
- Skills in interviewing, team management, and restaurant operations are highly desirable
- Previous hotel or barista experience is a plus but not required
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Strong communication skills and attention to detail
