Responsibilities
- Safely install, repair, and replace roofing materials using hand tools and power tools, ensuring adherence to safety standards and building codes
- Install flashing, and prepare surfaces for roofing applications
- Perform heavy lifting of materials to facilitate efficient workflow
- Apply caulking and sealing techniques to ensure waterproofing and weatherproofing of roofs
- Conduct site inspections to identify potential issues and perform necessary repairs promptly
- Maintain a clean work environment by organizing tools, disposing of debris properly, and adhering to safety protocols at all times
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a roofer with a strong track record of successful project completion
- Skilled in using hand tools, power tools, and construction equipment safely and effectively
- Construction experience with a focus on roofing systems or related fields such as carpentry or handyman work
- Knowledge of caulking techniques for weatherproofing applications
- Physical strength and stamina for heavy lifting, climbing ladders, and working at heights comfortably
- Prior experience with construction site safety procedures is highly desirable
