Head Chef — Adobo Nation, Fort McMurray, AB
Adobo Nation (Luke's Foods Ltd.), a Filipino restaurant, grocery and bakery at 30 Riedel Street, Fort McMurray, AB T9H 3E1, is seeking a full-time, permanent Head Chef to lead the kitchen. $36.50/hour, 40 hours/week. Starts as soon as possible. 1 vacancy. On-site.
Responsibilities: Plan and direct food preparation and cooking activities; create new recipes and develop menus; ensure food meets quality standards; instruct, supervise and train cooks and kitchen staff; prepare and cook complete meals and specialty Filipino dishes, including for events and functions; estimate food requirements and food costs; requisition food and kitchen supplies; maintain records of food costs, consumption and inventory; demonstrate new cooking techniques to kitchen staff; ensure food safety and sanitation.
Requirements: English; secondary school graduation; 3 years to less than 5 years of cooking experience, including specialized experience in Filipino cuisine; Safe Food Handling certificate; criminal record check.
