Position Summary
The Branch Manager, under the direction of the Regional General Manager, will be responsible for day-to-day management of the branch in relation to labour usage, providing tools to the team, reviewing KPI’s and expenses.
Essential Functions-
Monitoring and approving direct labour hours, project costs, and work schedules.
- Ensure the team has the appropriate tools and equipment to perform effectively.

Oversee the work done by the sub-contractors and direct labour to ensure quality expectations are met.
- Assist local sales reps in providing signed changes orders before proceeding with work and identify any potential opportunities or losses.
- Ensure the team is following safety procedures and policies in accordance with local regulations.

Approve employee spending, maintenance and office supply purchases up to defined limits.

Report on pedestrian entrance system installation project status.
- Coordinate the work of all sub-contractors with the Site Superintendents or project managers.
- Assist with the collection of overdue accounts up to a set value.

Review monthly financial and labour KPI’s and assist with planning and strategizing.
Qualifications
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities-
Solid understanding of the local construction market.
- Computer literate with experience in using CRM and Financial software applications.

Good understanding and interpretation of financial reports.

Demonstrated ability to conduct regular meetings and report on service activity.

Strong knowledge of project management, resources allocation and cost control functions.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills with strong negotiation capabilities.

Ability to function as an effective team leader capable of motivating a team.

Excellent planning, coordination and scheduling skills.

Excellent ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.

Proven problem solving skills and strong customer service orientation.

High energy, detailed oriented, results driven, self-motivated individual.
Education, Training, Experience-
3-5 years’ experience in commercial construction, pedestrian entrances or related field.

Relevant post-secondary education or relevant combination of education and experience.

Knowledge of relevant local safety legislation.

Experience in managing branch locations within the construction industry.
Working Conditions and Physical Demands-
Working indoors, office/warehouse environment.
- May require travel to customer sites.

Requires use of usual office equipment such as computer, laptop and cell phone.

Often subject to tight deadlines.

There may be dusty environments; facilities may include safety hazards or motorized equipment.
