Deconstructors Demolition Inc. is hiring a Seasonal General Labourer to support upcoming demolition, deconstruction, salvage, recycling, cleanup, and site preparation projects.
This is a hands-on position suited for someone who is reliable, physically capable, safety-minded, and willing to work as part of a crew. Previous construction, demolition, restoration, or general labour experience is an asset, but we are willing to consider candidates who are hardworking, dependable, and willing to learn.
This is a seasonal position with the potential to lead to full-time employment based on project availability, performance, reliability, and company needs. Extended healthcare, vision and dental benefits available after 6 months.
Duties May Include
- Assisting with demolition, deconstruction, cleanup, salvage, recycling, and site preparation tasks
- Loading, unloading, carrying, sorting, and organizing tools, materials, debris, and equipment
- Preparing and cleaning job sites
- Separating materials for reuse, recycling, and disposal
- Using basic hand tools and power tools when trained and authorized
- Following all safety procedures, site rules, and supervisor instructions
- Wearing required personal protective equipment
- Reporting hazards, concerns, or unsafe conditions to the Foreman or supervisor
- Working respectfully with coworkers, supervisors, clients, and other trades
Requirements
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work as part of a team
- Physically able to perform labour-intensive work
- Willing to follow safety procedures and site instructions
- Comfortable working in active construction and demolition environments
- Valid driver’s licence and reliable transportation are considered assets
- Previous demolition, construction, restoration, machine operation or general labour experience is considered an asset
- Willingness to complete project-related onboarding, site access forms, or security clearance documentation where required
Some upcoming projects may require security clearance, background screening, or client/site access approval. Candidates must be willing to complete required project-related clearance forms where applicable.
Pay: $21.00-$25.00 per hour
