About the Role
We are seeking a reliable and experienced Dental Assistant to join our team long term. You will work chairside with our dentist and play a key role in delivering an exceptional patient experience.
Responsibilities
- Assist the dentist during dental procedures
- Prepare treatment rooms and instruments for dental procedures
- Take and develop dental x-rays
- Sterilize and maintain dental instruments and equipment
- Provide chairside assistance to the dentist during procedures
- Educate patients on oral hygiene and post-operative care
- Schedule patient appointments and manage patient records
- Perform dental receptionist duties as needed
Qualifications
- Dental assisting certification or relevant experience
- Knowledge of dental terminology and procedures
- Proficiency in dental software systems, Open Dental an asset
- Experience with pediatric patients is a plus
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Attention to detail and strong organizational skills
