Join our growing allergy and immunology team!
We are seeking a compassionate, detail-oriented Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our busy outpatient allergy clinic. This is an excellent opportunity for an LPN who enjoys patient education, hands-on clinical care, and working in a collaborative healthcare environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform allergy skin prick testing and accurately document results.
- Perform intradermal allergy testing under physician protocols.
- Assist with and monitor patients during oral food and medication challenges.
- Prepare and administer allergen immunotherapy (allergy shots).
- Observe patients for adverse reactions and respond appropriately to allergic emergencies.
- Provide patient education regarding allergy testing, immunotherapy, and treatment plans.
- Maintain accurate electronic medical records and clinical documentation.
- Prepare examination rooms and maintain clinic supplies and equipment.
- Work collaboratively with physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure high-quality patient care.
Qualifications
- Current Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) registration and licensure.
- Current CPR/BLS certification.
- Excellent clinical assessment, communication, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within a team.
Experience in allergy, immunology, respiratory, pediatrics, or primary care is an asset but not required. Training will be provided for the right candidate.
