Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Painter to join our commercial/residential interior/exterior painting and decorating team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for applying paint, coatings, and finishes to various surfaces and components, ensuring high-quality results that meet safety and aesthetic standards. This role requires mechanical knowledge, proficiency with hand tools and power tools. The Painter will play a vital part in maintaining the quality and appearance of our products while adhering to safety protocols. Harris Paint works with very high end building companies in the city and is the in house painting company of Harris Builders.
Responsibilities
- Prepare surfaces for painting by cleaning, sanding, and masking as needed
- Apply paint, coatings, or finishes using brushes, rollers, or spray equipment with precision
- Use hand tools and power tools to perform surface preparation and finishing tasks
- Follow safety guidelines and use personal protective equipment during all painting activities
- Maintain a clean work environment and ensure proper storage of materials and tools
- Conduct inspections to ensure paint quality meets specifications and standards
- Collaborate with team members to improve processes using lean manufacturing principles
Skills
- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and spray equipment used in painting applications
- Ability to work with other painters and crews from different trades at the same time.
- Be able to climb scaffold and ladders
- Strong attention to detail, safety consciousness, and ability to work independently or as part of a team
Pay: $17.64-$34.25 per hour

Experience:
- professional painting: 2 years (preferred)
