Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Mig Welder/Fabricator to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for fabricating, welding, and assembling metal components using various welding techniques and tools. This role requires strong mechanical knowledge, precision, and the ability to interpret schematics and blueprints to produce high-quality work in a fast-paced environment.
Duties
- Perform MIG and TIG welding on various metal components, ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to accurately fabricate parts
- Operate plasma cutters, press brake machines, hand tools, power tools, and other fabrication equipment
- Use calipers and other measuring tools for precise measurements and quality control
- Rigging and handling heavy materials using cranes or forklifts as needed
- Assist with assembly of fabricated parts into final products or systems such as ductwork or structural components
- Conduct machining tasks when necessary to achieve specific dimensions or finishes
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to safety protocols at all times
- Collaborate with team members to meet production deadlines and quality standards
Requirements
- Proven experience in MIG welding, TIG welding, and plasma cutting, gas cutting, within a manufacturing or construction environment
- Mechanical knowledge of machinery such as press brakes, cranes, forklifts, and hand/power tools
- Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings accurately
- Familiarity with schematics, assembly instructions, and basic math skills for measurements and calculations
- Knowledge of rigging techniques and crane operation is a plus
- Experience with machining processes and the use of calipers for precise measurements is desirable
- Strong understanding of safety procedures related to welding, fabrication, and heavy equipment operation
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced setting

Pay: $18.00-$23.00 per hour
