Under the direction of the Director of Nursing, the Registered Practical Nurse is responsible and accountable for providing and ensuring optimum care to promote the well-being of each individual resident. The Registered Practical Nurse ensures and provides the delivery of nursing services to meet the assessed needs of the residents.
The key areas of responsibility are:
- Assessment, intervention, care coordination, documentation, and wellness
- Management & Accountability of team member supervision
- Collaboration & Communication both internally and externally
- Adherence to Policies and Procedures
- Adhere to the organizations Mission, Vision, and Values
- Maintain Health and Safety safe practices, hazard reporting, and OHSA compliance
- Willing to work to full scope of practice
Qualifications required:
- Candidates must possess a current Certificate of Registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario. O. Reg. 246/22, s. 51 and be in good standing
- Experience in a Long-Term Care (Gerontology) setting is an asset
- Performs care planning and coordination of care in a diverse multidisciplinary care team
- A demonstrated use of current care technology.
- Strong leadership, communication and interpersonal skills
- Active interest in ongoing education, training, and professional development
- Must ensure all MOH and MLTC requirements are met.
Currently looking to fill a permanent full time night shift 12hr rotation position.
