Job Description:
Reporting to the Operations Manager, the Millwright is responsible for installing, repairing, troubleshooting, commissioning, and testing of gearboxes.
Key Responsibilities:

Refurbishment and installation of gearboxes and equipment.

Teardown, inspection, troubleshooting, and testing of gearboxes.

Key site contact between client and office.

Mentoring of junior technician staff.
Qualifications & Experience:
-
A certificate of qualification (red seal) as a Millwright, Machinist, or Heavy Duty Mechanic, or an indentured 2nd year apprentice in these same trades

3+ years of technician experience working in a machine shop.

Fundamental understanding of the repair and testing of gearboxes.

Experience in system troubleshooting, system fabrication.

Understanding of industrial controls, sensors, switches, relays, etc.

Able to read and understand engineering drawings and schematics.

Understanding of power unit fabrication, tube/piping installation, welding and machining.
