Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Journeyperson Electrician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in electrical work, particularly in industrial settings, and possess the ability to read blueprints and schematics. This role requires hands-on experience with various electrical systems, tools, and equipment. As a Journeyperson Electrician, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems while ensuring compliance with safety regulations.
Responsibilities
- Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems in accordance with local codes and regulations.
- Read and interpret blueprints and schematics to determine the layout of electrical systems.
- Utilize hand tools and power tools effectively for various electrical tasks.
- Troubleshoot electrical issues and perform necessary repairs or replacements.
- Work with low voltage systems as well as programmable logic controllers (PLCs).
- Collaborate with construction teams during renovation projects to ensure proper electrical installations.
- Conduct routine inspections of electrical systems to identify potential issues before they become critical.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area while adhering to safety protocols.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as an electrician, preferably in an industrial setting.
- Strong skills in blueprint reading and understanding of electrical schematics.
- Proficient in the use of hand tools, power tools, and other relevant equipment.
- Familiarity with low voltage systems and programmable logic controllers (PLCs) is advantageous.
- Experience in construction or renovation projects is preferred.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
