Responsibilities
- Manage vendor-managed inventory (VMI) at customer sites, including inventory counts, stock replenishment, and inventory audits.
- Travel regularly to customer locations to monitor inventory levels and maintain strong customer relationships.
- Assemble hydraulic, pneumatic, and industrial hose assemblies to customer specifications.
- Process customer orders from quotation through invoicing, ensuring accurate and timely service.
- Source, receive, stock, and ship products while maintaining inventory accuracy and performing cycle counts.
- Provide product recommendations, pricing, quotations, and technical support in collaboration with the technical team.
- Coordinate with purchasing, logistics, customer service, and sales teams to ensure on-time delivery and customer satisfaction.
- Troubleshoot inventory and customer issues, implementing solutions to minimize disruptions.
- Promote products and services while identifying opportunities to grow existing customer accounts.
- Maintain accurate inventory, customer, and transaction records using ERP/CRM systems.
- Follow company safety procedures and maintain a clean, organized work environment.
- Perform other related duties as required.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid G Class Driver's License with the ability to travel regularly to customer sites.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in inventory management, customer service, supply chain, industrial distribution, or a related field.
- Experience with hydraulic systems, industrial hoses, fluid power products, or strong mechanical aptitude is considered an asset.
- Experience using hand tools, crimpers, saws, and other shop equipment.
- Strong inventory control, shipping/receiving, and order processing experience.
- Excellent customer service, communication, and relationship-building skills.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office, ERP, and CRM systems.
- Strong organizational, problem-solving, and time management skills with the ability to work independently.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform hands-on shop and warehouse duties.
- Bilingual English/French is considered an asset.
