Tapagria Tapas Restaurant
Tapagria is a vibrant Spanish restaurant in Markham, dedicated to providing guests with authentic Spanish tapas dishes and cocktails in a casual atmosphere. We value hospitality, quality, and a welcoming environment for both our guests and team members. We are looking for a hostess/ server assistant to work alongside with our FOH team under the supervision of the restaurant manager.
Summary
We are seeking a friendly and attentive Hostess/ Server Assistant to join our team at Tapagria. In this role, you will work with our servers and kitchen staff to ensure a smooth dining experience for our guests. Your contribution will help us create memorable moments for our guests in a lively and authentic setting.
Job Duties
- Welcoming guests and lead them to their table
- Work with servers about dietary restrictions and special remarks
- Serving food and drinks in a professional manner
- Assisting servers in service
- Bus tables and maintain the restaurant area clean
- Proceed payment for tables and handling bookings through phone when necessary
- Be familiar with restaurant policies, offerings, special promotion and menus
- Provide ultimate customer service according to restaurant SOP and guidelines
- Keeping host stand and service stations stocked with necessary items
- Helping with opening and closing duties
- Assisting with events and parties
- Reporting to restaurant manager
- Ensuring all health and safety regulations are followed
- Polishing tablewares
Skills and Experience
- Familiar with the food and bar menu
- Familiar with POS system and OpenTable
- Customer service skills
- Able to work in a team under a fast-paced environment
- 1+ year experience in the Food and Beverage Industry/ restaurant, preferably in a Spanish restaurant
Pay: $17.60 per hour
