Eye Q Optometry is dedicated to providing educated eye care, focusing on the health and well-being of our patients. Vision Therapy is a unique neuro-rehabilitative service that we provide, not commonly available at most Optometric Practices, which improves our patient's quality of life.
Summary
We are seeking a Vision Therapist to join our team at Eye Q Optometry. In this role, you will work directly with our neuro-Optometrist to develop individualized care plans for each patient, and then put those plans into action during your therapy sessions with those patients. Compensation will be commensurate with experience.
Responsibilities
- Review assessments and develop treatment plans tailored to individual patient needs.
- Work one on one with patients to teach and carry out vision therapy techniques with guidance from the optometrist.
- Providing homework techniques and materials to patients at the conclusion of each session.
- Collaborate with insurance companies to ensure your patients are provided for.
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation in compliance with medical standards.
Requirements
- Previous experience in Vision Therapy, or a willingness to learn from our neuro-optometrist and complete in-office and virtual training.
- For applicants without prior experience, a background in Kinesiology, Education, Psychology or working with young children would be considered an asset.
Hours Required
- We are looking for someone who is available Fridays and Saturdays and one other weekday.
- Total hours may fluctuate between 12-18 hours per week, with potential opportunity for growth in the future
