Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Dental Hygienist to join our growing dental practice. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality preventive dental care, educating patients on oral health, and supporting the overall patient experience. The position requires a licensed Dental Hygienist with strong clinical skills and excellent communication abilities.
Responsibilities
- Perform dental cleanings, including scaling, prophy, alginate impressions
- Take dental radiographs as needed
- Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices and preventive care strategies
- Assist the dentist during recall examinations
- Maintain accurate patient records
- Provide patient comfort and reassurance throughout treatment sessions
- Support the dental team with administrative tasks related to patient care, including scheduling appointments and updating medical histories
- Stay current with advancements in dental hygiene techniques and industry best practices
- Knowledge of IPAC and sterilizing instruments
- Knowledge of infection control and day end room disinfection.
Requirements
- Valid state licensure as a Dental Hygienist
- Experience with Logitech/Paradigm and Carestream dental office management software is preferred
- Previous experience in a dental office setting, including dental assisting or hygiene roles, is preferred
- Strong understanding of medical terminology relevant to dentistry
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with patients of all ages
- Ability to work well within a team-oriented environment and maintain professionalism at all times
- Hrs Mondays 12noon -8pm, alternating Wednesdays 11am-5pm and one Saturday per month 10am-5pm
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $50.00-$58.00 per hour
