Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Houseman to join our hospitality team. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in maintaining the cleanliness and overall appearance of our hotel property, ensuring a welcoming environment for guests. This position offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic hospitality setting, contributing to guest satisfaction and operational excellence.
Duties
- Perform thorough cleaning and custodial tasks in public areas, and back-of-house spaces using appropriate cleaning supplies and equipment
- Assist with laundry duties, including sorting, folding, and distributing linens and towels
- Maintain cleanliness of hallways, lobbies, restrooms, and other common areas
- Restock supplies such as toiletries, towels, and cleaning products as needed
- Support maintenance staff with light repairs or reporting maintenance issues promptly
- Ensure all areas meet health and safety standards by adhering to cleanliness protocols
- Assist with furniture arrangement and setup for events or guest requests
- Follow established procedures for waste disposal and recycling
Qualifications
- Prior experience in cleaning, custodial work, or hospitality is preferred; hotel or industrial cleaning experience is a plus
- Strong attention to detail with a commitment to maintaining high cleanliness standards
- Ability to work independently and efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Good physical stamina to perform manual tasks including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods
- Knowledge of cleaning chemicals and proper usage is advantageous
- Previous experience in hospitality or custodial roles is desirable but not required; training will be provided for the right candidate
- Reliable with a strong work ethic and positive attitude toward teamwork
