Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accountant to join our team in Canada. This role is vital in managing financial records, ensuring accurate bookkeeping, and supporting our company's financial health. The successful candidate will contribute to our mission of providing quality food products through precise financial management.
Responsibilities
- Manage accounts payable and receivable to ensure timely and accurate transactions.
- Reconcile accounts and prepare month end financial reports in compliance with company policies.
- Utilize accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, Xero, and Workday to maintain accurate financial records.
- Support budgeting and account analysis activities.
- Enter data accurately and perform regular account reconciliation.
- Collaborate with team members to improve financial procedures.
- Ensure compliance with relevant financial regulations and standards
Qualifications
- Proven experience as an Accountant or similar role within the food manufacturing or related industry.
- Proficiency in accounting software
- Strong understanding of accounts payable, receivable, payroll processing, and account reconciliation.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to analyze financial data and prepare reports.
- Knowledge of budgeting processes is a plus.
- Team-oriented with strong collaboration skills across diverse stakeholders.
- Effective communication skills in English.
