Overview
We are seeking a reliable and professional Driver on a contract basis who resides in NW communities of Royal Oak/Rocky Ridge/Nolan Hill. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting school children safely and efficiently, ensuring a positive experience for clients of all ages. This role requires excellent communication skills, a clean driving record, and the ability to handle diverse situations with professionalism.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate company vehicles to transport clients to various destinations, including schools, senior centers, and community events
- Assist passengers with boarding and exiting vehicles, ensuring comfort and safety at all times
- Maintain cleanliness and basic mechanical upkeep of the vehicle, reporting any issues promptly
- Follow all traffic laws and company policies to ensure safe transportation
- Communicate effectively with clients, team members, and management to coordinate schedules and address any concerns
- Provide excellent customer service by being courteous, attentive, and responsive to passenger needs
- Keep accurate records of trips, mileage, and vehicle maintenance logs as required
- Adapt to different transportation needs by teaching or guiding passengers when necessary
Experience
- Prior experience in commercial driving or transportation is preferred
- Experience working with children or senior care is a plus
- Strong communication skills essential for interacting professionally with passengers and team members
- Mechanical knowledge beneficial for basic vehicle troubleshooting and maintenance awareness
- Customer service experience that demonstrates patience, professionalism, and problem-solving abilities
- Knowledge of local routes, traffic patterns, and safety regulations will be advantageous
