Overview
We are seeking a skilled CNC Laser Operator to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for setting up, programming, and operating CNC laser cutting equipment to produce high-quality parts and components. This role requires a strong understanding of manufacturing processes, mechanical knowledge, and proficiency with various machine tools and software. The CNC Laser Operator will play a vital role in ensuring precision, efficiency, and safety in our production environment.
Duties
- Operate and monitor CNC laser cutting machines, ensuring accurate execution of job orders.
- Program and edit CNC laser machines using CAD/CAM software, including SolidWorks and other CAD tools.
- Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and schematics to determine specifications.
- Perform routine maintenance, calibration, and troubleshooting on CNC equipment
- Conduct quality control checks using calipers, hand tools, and measurement systems to verify dimensions and tolerances.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area in compliance with safety standards.
- Assist with warehouse operations including packaging finished products and operating forklifts when necessary.
- Collaborate with team members on assembly tasks and mechanical projects as needed.
- Follow safety protocols related to welding, machining, and equipment operation.
Qualifications
- Proven experience operating CNC laser cutting machines; experience with CNC programming is highly preferred.
- Strong knowledge of blueprint reading, mechanical principles, machining processes, and quality control standards.
- Proficiency with CAD software such as SolidWorks; experience with CAD/CAM integration is a plus.
- Ability to operate hand tools, calipers, forklifts, and other warehouse equipment safely.
- Basic math skills for measurements and calculations related to machining tolerances.
- Mechanical aptitude with manufacturing processes including welding, assembly, machining, and packaging.
- Previous warehouse or manufacturing experience is advantageous.
- Excellent problem-solving skills along with attention to detail in a fast-paced environment. Pay: $22.00-$28.00 per hour
