Newmar Window Manufacturing Inc. is a well-established and growing manufacturer of high-quality windows and doors. As part of the ALPA Lumber Group of companies, we have proudly specialized in the manufacture and supply of building materials for over 65 years.
We are currently accepting applications for an upcoming full-time Warehouse Receiver opportunity. This recruitment is being conducted to fill an anticipated vacancy within our operations team. We are seeking a reliable, organized, and safety-conscious individual who enjoys working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and takes pride in maintaining accurate inventory and efficient warehouse operations.
Responsibilities
- Receive incoming shipments and verify products against purchase orders, packing slips, and delivery documentation.
- Inspect incoming materials for damage, shortages, or discrepancies and report any issues to the Plant Manager promptly.
- Unload, label, and safely relocate materials to their designated storage locations.
- Accurately enter inventory transactions into Excel spreadsheets and other company inventory systems.
- Perform regular inventory counts and assist with cycle counts to maintain accurate inventory records.
- Locate, pick, and deliver materials to various departments to support production requirements.
- Operate material handling equipment safely and in accordance with company policies and procedures (training provided where applicable).
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe receiving area by following housekeeping and workplace safety standards.
- Assist with loading, unloading, and general material handling as required.
- Follow all company health and safety policies, procedures, and applicable legislation.
- Work collaboratively with warehouse, purchasing, and production teams to ensure efficient material flow.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Secondary school diploma or equivalent.
- Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull materials weighing up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and perform physical work throughout the shift.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to accurately record inventory information.
- Good organizational and time management skills.
- Basic computer proficiency, including Microsoft Excel.
- Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Reliable attendance and a strong commitment to workplace safety.
Assets
The following qualifications are considered assets but are not required:
- Valid forklift certification.
- Previous warehouse, receiving, shipping, or inventory control experience.
- Experience using inventory management or ERP systems.
- Previous material handling experience in a manufacturing environment.
