Position Summary
We are seeking a motivated, detail-oriented Architectural Technologist to join our team. The successful candidate will be a proactive self-starter who thrives in a collaborative environment while also being comfortable working independently. This is primarily an office-based role, with periodic site visits required.
Key Responsibilities:
- Accurately take on-site measurements, photos, & 3D walkthroughs of projects and translate these into existing plans
- Draft and design plans and 3D renderings according to Diamond’s drafting standards
- Compile finish specification packages
- Perform drawing revisions in a timely manner
Qualifications:
- Architectural Technology diploma
- 1-3 years experience
- Proficient in AutoCAD and Sketchup
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and capable of prioritizing multiple responsibilities
- Understanding of residential construction practices
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to meet monthly and weekly deadlines
- Knowledge of Alberta Building Code
- Valid driver’s license, clean abstract and personal vehicle with the ability to attend site visits is required
- Experience with professional renovations or home building is considered an asset
- Understanding of local building bylaws an asset
