Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Shipper/Receiver. You will be responsible for working closely with all facilities staff, overseeing all duties related to shipping, receiving and fulfillment.
Responsibilities:
· Coordinate with staff for all daily shipping requirements, prepare deliveries, quality check shipments, dispatch drivers, book couriers, and organize Customs forms and waybills.
· Communicate via email to vendors, clients, and staff professionally at all times
· Update Shipping software, utilize Microsoft Office (Outlook), and have a good grasp of Excel spreadsheets for reports
· Maintain inventory control and timely deliveries of all fulfillment items
· Unload non/palletized freight using appropriate manual equipment, pallet jack, and/or by hand as needed
· Ensure the Shipping area and loading bays are kept organized, neat, clean, and clear of unnecessary debris, boxes, or garbage
· Maintain up-to-date knowledge of courier and post office shipping times, rates, and processes to ensure timely and accurate response time
· Train designated personnel on the Shipping & Receiving duties to ensure efficient coverage is in place when you are on breaks, absent, or unavailable
Qualifications:
· Previous and demonstrated experience as a Shipper with existing knowledge of commercial trucking regulations, and all lower Mainland areas for efficient dispatching
· Have excellent computer skills with the ability to navigate basic programs, update entries accurately, and setup excel sheets reports
· Excellent interpersonal skills, quick thinker with a positive attitude and ability to communicate vital info in a timely manner
· Must be able to react quickly, remain calm, and handle multiple moving parts at once in a fast-paced and deadline orientated environment
· Preferred forklift and 5 ton driving experience
