The challenges that await you
Reporting to your supervisor, you will assist and support businesses in achieving their business objectives, advise and assist entrepreneurs in the development, analysis, and monitoring of their business projects. You will also advise and support entrepreneurs in seeking funding and development, and formulate investment recommendations related to the various funds managed by the Economic Development Service, with the aim of enabling start-up and/or growing businesses to maintain and create jobs, real estate value, and economic benefits in the territory of the City of Laval.
More specifically:
- Advise and assist entrepreneurs in the development, analysis, and monitoring of their business plan. Identify needs that may influence its proper functioning and contribute to the implementation of their development strategies by providing the necessary support: financial structuring, funding search, market analysis, distribution agreements, marketing, licenses, strategic alliances, and others.
- Conduct financial analyses and qualitative assessments of the viability of submitted business plans (products, technology, patents, market, competition, etc.) related to business and funding projects.
- Utilize available government programs, execute specific agreements supporting the implementation of programs or activities, and prepare recommendations regarding potential grants to be awarded to businesses.
The ideal profile for us
- Hold a bachelor's degree in business administration;
- Have five (5) years of relevant experience, particularly in economic development and business financing as well as in investment file analysis;
- Knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite.
