Position Overview
We are seeking a motivated and compassionate Physiotherapist Assistant to support our physiotherapists in delivering effective patient care. The ideal candidate is organized, hands-on, and passionate about helping patients achieve their rehabilitation goals.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist physiotherapists in implementing treatment plans
- Guide patients through prescribed exercises and rehabilitation programs
- Prepare treatment areas and equipment
- Monitor and document patient progress
- Support modalities such as heat, ice, and therapeutic exercise setups
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the clinic
- Communicate patient updates to the supervising physiotherapist
Qualifications
- Diploma or certificate as a Physiotherapist Assistant (or equivalent experience)
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work well in a team-based healthcare environment
- Good physical stamina and ability to assist with patient mobility
- CPR/First Aid certification (preferred or required)
- Previous clinic or rehab experience is an asset
