Duties
- Assist with basic food preparation tasks such as chopping, peeling, and assembling ingredients for meals.
- Support cooking activities under the supervision of chefs or kitchen managers to ensure timely meal production.
- Maintain cleanliness of kitchen workstations, utensils, and equipment to uphold food safety standards.
- Handle food items safely during storage, transfer, and disposal processes to prevent contamination.
- Help with serving dishes to customers or staff in a courteous and efficient manner.
- Ensure all food handling procedures comply with health regulations and safety protocols.
- Support inventory management by organizing supplies and notifying staff of low stock levels.
Experience
- Previous experience working in a restaurant or food service environment is preferred but not required; willingness to learn is key!
- Familiarity with basic cooking techniques and meal preparation processes.
- Knowledge of food safety practices and proper food handling procedures.
- Experience in customer service or serving roles is a plus, demonstrating strong communication skills.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen setting while maintaining attention to detail.
- Prior kitchen experience within the food industry will help you excel in this role.
Pay: $17.60-$20.00 per hour
