Position Summary
Kendrew Distribution Services Ltd. is seeking a detail-oriented and customer-focused Customer Service Representative to join our 3PL Customer Service team immediately. This is a temporary full-time, six (6)-month contract position with the possibility of extension based on business needs and operational requirements.
The successful candidate will support daily customer service operations, including order entry, shipment coordination, inventory inquiries, and communication with customers, carriers, and warehouse teams. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who thrives in a fast-paced logistics environment and enjoys building strong customer relationships.
Key Responsibilities
· Act as the primary day-to-day contact for assigned 3PL customers.
· Enter, review, and verify customer orders, shipping instructions, returns, and special requests.
· Coordinate with warehouse, shipping, receiving, transportation, and carrier partners.
· Track customer orders from order entry through delivery.
· Respond to inquiries regarding inventory, order status, tracking, shortages, damage, and service issues.
· Prepare shipping documentation including BOLs, packing slips, labels, courier documentation, and related paperwork.
· Maintain accurate customer files, order records, inventory notes, and communication logs.
· Schedule inbound and outbound freight appointments as required.
· Investigate shipping, receiving, inventory, return, and billing discrepancies.
· Escalate urgent customer or operational issues as required.
· Support KPI reporting, customer reporting, billing backup, and other administrative duties as assigned.
· Ensure customer SOPs, labelling requirements, and special handling instructions are followed.
Qualifications:
The successful candidate will have:
· Previous customer service experience (logistics, transportation, warehousing, distribution, or order desk experience is preferred)
· Strong verbal and written communication skills
· Excellent organizational skills with strong attention to detail.
· Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
· Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
· Experience using warehouse or order management systems is considered an asset.
· Professional, dependable, and customer-focused attitude.
· Ability to work collaboratively with warehouse and operations teams.
· Must be legally entitled to work in Canada.
Working Conditions
· This position is based on-site at our Woodbridge, Ontario location.
· Work is performed primarily in an office located within a warehouse environment.
· Regular interaction with warehouse staff, transportation providers, customers, and internal departments is required.
· The position requires the ability to manage changing priorities while maintaining accuracy and meeting operational deadlines.
Compensation
Salary: CAD $37,000 - $42,000 annually, based on qualifications and experience.
Note: This posting is intended to fill an existing vacancy. This is a temporary full-time, six (6)-month contract position. The contract may be extended based on business needs and operational requirements.
