Responsibilities
- Deliver friendly, professional, and attentive service to every guest
- Guide guests through the menu with confident recommendations on food, sake, wine, beer, and cocktails
- Accurately take orders, process payments, and operate the POS system
- Serve food and beverages efficiently while maintaining quality and presentation standards
- Maintain clean and organized dining and service areas
- Complete opening, closing, and side duties
- Thrive in a fast-paced, high-volume environment while staying organized and composed
- Communicate effectively with kitchen and front-of-house team members to ensure seamless service
- Anticipate guest needs, resolve concerns professionally, and create memorable dining experiences
- Support teammates and contribute to a positive, collaborative workplace
- Follow all restaurant policies, service standards, and health & safety procedures
Job Requirements
- Previous serving experience in a high-volume restaurant preferred
- Passion for hospitality and creating memorable guest experiences
- Excellent communication, teamwork, and multitasking skills
- Ability to stay calm, organized, and efficient under pressure
- Positive attitude, reliability, and strong work ethic
- Willingness to learn and continuously improve
- Knowledge of Japanese cuisine, sake, wine, or cocktails is an asset but not required
- Valid Serving It Right certification
- Ability to lift up to 30 lbs and perform the physical requirements of restaurant service
- Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, and statutory holidays
