Overview
Our friendly and patient-focused dental practice is looking for a Dental Assistant / Receptionist to join our team. This is a hybrid position that combines chairside assisting with front desk responsibilities. You will work alongside our existing receptionist to support the daily operations of the practice while assisting the clinical team as needed.
We are looking for someone who is organized, dependable, and enjoys working in a collaborative environment. The ideal candidate is comfortable multitasking, provides exceptional customer service, and is committed to delivering an outstanding patient experience.
Duties
- Welcome and check in patients in a warm and professional manner
- Answer incoming phone calls and assist with patient inquiries
- Schedule, confirm, and coordinate appointments
- Assist with patient recalls and follow-up communications
- Process insurance claims, preauthorizations, and treatment estimates
- Collect payments and maintain accurate patient records using Tracker
- Support the existing receptionist with day-to-day administrative duties
- Chairside assisting during dental procedures
- Prepare and disinfect operatories
- Sterilize instruments and maintain infection prevention and control standards
- Take radiographs (where applicable)
- Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient clinical environment
- Work collaboratively with the entire dental team to ensure a positive patient experience
Qualifications
- Certified Dental Assistant (Level II preferred)
- Previous experience in both dental assisting and dental reception is preferred
- Experience with Tracker is an asset
- Knowledge of dental insurance and claim processing
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities
- Professional, reliable, and detail oriented
- Ability to work independently while contributing to a team environment
- CPR and HARP certification preferred
