TIW WESTERN Inc. is an established Calgary based manufacturing company and recognized leading supplier of thermal industrial equipment, including heat recovery and once through steam generators.
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Laborer to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong work ethic and a willingness to learn, contributing to various tasks in a dynamic work environment.
Duties
- Maintaining Shop Cleanliness: Sweep floors, remove scrap, empty garbage, and make sure everything is put away — creating a tidy, organized, and safe workspace
- Supporting Organization: Help ensure tools, materials, and equipment are properly stored and easily accessible for the team
- Outdoor Duties: Removing snow and cutting grass around material laydowns as required.
- Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean working environment.
- Other duties as assigned
Requirements:
- Physically capable of lifting up to 50 lbs and handling shop duties.
- Forklift experience is required.
- Must be physically capable of working in both indoor and outdoor environments, in various weather conditions.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately.
- Physical stamina to perform manual labor tasks, including lifting heavy objects.
- Proficiency in English language and good communication skills
- A positive attitude and willingness to work as part of a team.
We’re looking for someone who is eager to learn and wants to immerse themselves in the shop environment and understand the trade from start to finish.
Growth Opportunities:
This position is about getting your hands on the tools, learning how the shop runs, and progressing from cleaning and organizing to becoming involved in the actual fabrication process. As you gain experience, you’ll have the chance to move into roles involving cutting, beveling, and other fabrication tasks, eventually becoming a full-fledged part of the team.
