Job Summary
We are seeking a friendly and detail-oriented Cashier to join our retail team. The ideal candidate will provide exceptional customer service, handle transactions accurately, and contribute to a positive shopping experience. The Cashier will be responsible for managing POS systems, assisting customers with product inquiries, and supporting sales initiatives through upselling and product demos. Responsibilities
- Greet customers warmly and assist them with their purchases in a professional manner
- Operate POS systems efficiently to process transactions accurately and quickly
- Handle cash, credit, and other payment methods with precision and security
- Provide product information, perform product demos when necessary, and answer customer questions
- Upsell additional products or services to enhance customer experience and increase sales
- Maintain organized merchandising displays and ensure the checkout area is clean and inviting
- Manage customer inquiries via phone or in person with excellent phone etiquette
- Assist in inventory management, restocking shelves, and organizing merchandise as needed
- Support team members during busy periods by sharing organizational skills and time management
Qualifications
- Previous experience in retail sales, cashiering, or customer service preferred
- Strong communication skills in English; bilingual abilities are a plus
- Basic math skills for handling cash transactions accurately
- Familiarity with POS systems and cash handling procedures
- Ability to perform product demos and engage customers through upselling techniques
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining professionalism
- Strong time management skills to handle multiple tasks effectively
- Friendly demeanor with good phone etiquette and communication skills
- Multilingual abilities are advantageous for serving diverse customer bases
Pay: $34.00-$37.96 per hour
