Canalside Crematorium is seeking a licensed Veterinarian (DVM) to provide scheduled on-site euthanasia services for companion animals at our Welland location.
We are looking for a compassionate professional who can support families during end-of-life appointments while maintaining all standards of veterinary practice and record-keeping required in Ontario.
Responsibilities
- Conduct euthanasia appointments on-site at scheduled times.
- Establish and document any veterinarian-client-patient relationship (VCPR) requirements as applicable.
- Maintain medical records, consent documentation, and controlled-substance compliance in accordance with Ontario veterinary standards.
- Provide compassionate communication and aftercare coordination with families and staff.
Qualifications
- Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree.
- Licensed and in good standing to practice veterinary medicine in Ontario.
- Professional liability coverage appropriate for independent practice.
- Experience with companion-animal euthanasia and client communication preferred.
Contract Details
- Independent contractor arrangement.
- Flexible scheduling (part-time / appointment-based).
- Compensation: competitive per-appointment or hourly rate (to be discussed).
- Services provided at our Welland facility.
